St. Andrew’s Priory

Mechanical Engineers of Hawaii Corp. partnered with Architects Hawaii, Ltd. in the nationally successful 1% program.  MEH volunteered over 115 man-hours designing the HVAC and plumbing systems.

The 1% program of Public Architecture connects non-profit organizations in ned of design assistance with architecture and design firms on a pro bono basis.

A new art facility was created for the students of St. Andrew’s Priory to enjoy a newly renovated art classroom.  The 1,000 Sq Ft facility was converted from an old wooden shower house to a new classroom/artistic space.  Removal and replacement of existing plumbing fixtures and piping was necessary.  MEH provided a combination of air conditioning and mechanical ventilation to provide a cooler environment to learn in.  Insulation was also added to the roof to reduce the heat gain into the building.
